2007 / iPod Sound but No Picture on Purchased CIS

I don't know how to setup my video iPod to playback video. I purchased a CIS segment from iTunes today but all I get on playback is the sound, no picture. What am I doing wrong? Frustrated but know I will get help in this forum. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the helpful comments. The only thing I really need USB 2.0 for is EyeTV Hybrid. No TV picture without it.

2006 / Upgrade from USB 1.1 to 2.0 How?

I am running an iMac PowerPC G4 800 MHz with 17" flatscreen. The computer has three 1.1 USB ports. I need 2.0 USB ports to run certain new programs. Is there anyway to upgrade or do I need to consider purchasing a new computer? Dumb question probably but I'll appreciate any helpful responses.

Thanks. I realize it's being broadcast. I'm talking about trying to get the live video to work on ESPN360. I get a message about Playlist not being recognized.

2006 / Unable to View Videos on ESPN360

ESPN360.com is a great site for sports info and live sport programming on the computer. Unfortunately, ESPN doesn't  seem to offer much support for Mac. They recommend downloading the latest version of Windows Media Player and Adobe's Flash, which I have done. They say live video is presented in Windows streaming format. Since I am unable to watch today's live soccer broadcast between Germany and Portugal, I thought I'd ask if anyone in this forum has been able to get ESPN360 video on their Mac. If so, what does it take? I'd sure like to be able to use this new site to the fullest but like so many other things designed for Windows this isn't working for me on my iBook G4. Any advice will be gladly accepted. Thanks.

2003 / Dymo LabelWriter 300 - Doesn't Print

I just installed Panther. Everything seems to work great except my DYMO LabelWriter 300. When I attempt to print a label, the label comes out of the printer blank. I have emailed DYMO support and am awaiting an answer. The printer shows up in the printer list but the arrow in the check box is greyed out. Any advice would be appreciated.

2003 / iMac Won't Start

Thanks to the two people who responded to our request for help with a dead iMac. We have not had time yet to try any of the suggested remedies but will certainly do so soon, probably tomorrow. In the meantime, my wife and I will morn the probable passing of our old friend. We hope he can be revived but fear his little heart may have truly stopped beating. He served faithfully for many years and had a noble character that most newer computers lack.

2003 / iMac Won't Start

My wife's old, old but reliable, iMac seems to have died overnight. There was a power outage last night and when I checked her computer this morning the machine was shut down. When I attempted to restart the system, all I could get were five audible beeps but the system would not start up. I tried the paperclip in the small hole with the triangle bit but that didn't seem to have any effect either.

We keep this old blue iMac for sentimental and artistic reasons since it does look good in our media room. We enjoy the warm glow from the machine's screen and its colorful blue exterior. Does anyone have any ideas on what we might try to get this old warrior running again?

2003 / Can't Delete Folder

Recently, I removed a beta Norton Anti Virus program by dragging the application to the Trash. Subsequently, I noticed there where still two Norton folders on my system. I was able to delete one, but the other "NortonMissedTasks" can't be deleted because the "item is in use." In use for what? How do I get rid of this last remaining pesky vestige of this beta program?

As usual, any assistance will be appreciated.

2003 / Plus Sign Under Hard Disk Icon

I've just noticed something strange on my wife's OS 9.2 machine. There's a plus sign underneath the HD icon replacing the words Macintosh HD. We don't know how long the icon has been this way and the machine seems to run fine. Does anyone know what this strange symbol represents? java script:emoticon('')

2003 / Importing from Address Book to Entourage. How?

I can't figure out how to get the information from my OSX address book into Entourage. I'd also like to be able to import my iCal data into Entourage as well. Can anyone give me an assist? I can't seem to find the proper files in either iCal or Address book to export to Entourage. Are they exported by vcard or txt files?

2003 / Cordless Rechargeable Optical Mouse for OSX?

Does anyone make a cordless rechargeable optical mouse that runs under OSX? I just bought a Logitech but when I got home I discovered it only works on 8.6 - 9.2. The exterior of the package said it worked with Mac. Back to the store with this one.
