MS security breach

quote:
Since the security breach applied to all of the Passport accounts, Microsoft could potentially face a massive fine of over $2.2 trillion, although regulators would likely look at a range of considerations in setting any fine.
I think the term "Microsoft Security" belongs at the head of  that list of the top oxymorons.

Yup...I cannot begin to imagine giving Microslop of all companies, ANY of my personal information!!! It seems that every other day there is another article in the business section of the Boston Globe quoting some M$ executive or other on how they've improved security on this or that new thang. That this company has to spend that much time assuring people that things really, *really* are secure, should be a red flag. Unfortunately, they just keep trucking right along...

Now $2.2 trillion might slow 'em down just a bit....
