Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Guy Lombardo, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Sammy Kaye, Paul Whitman. And the singers, Vaughn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Dina Shore, Kate Smith, a kid named Frank Sinatra.
You young folks missed a lot! Some of you may not even have seen Kilroy's signature!
One of the things I really like about the iPod/iTunes is that they give us the opportunity to download and play those treasures; for the most part I stopped listening to music stations back around the mid-fifties and truly decry the poop that's being aired these days.
Outta HS in '48; outta the navy in '52; outta Univ. of San Francisco in '57; outta Loyola Law School in '66 and happily retired since '86.
