Sandbox - I had thought that I had already thanked you for this post, but if I did it went to la-la land!  Thank you for the links; I'm interested!

I've been reading Mark Pilgrim over the years and have had enough of an  interest in Linux to go to a few local Linux Users Group (LUGs) meetings where I've gathered a few new friends. Then Buddha gave me a full set of Ubuntu for Mac & PC where I've had a bit more hands on time to play with this new toy.

I've seen a growing value in open software since my old redhat days and when Apple used a Unix variant I knew where the future in development was headed. Even MS has seen the light http://blogs.msdn.com/brian_jones/archive/.../05/657510.aspx

Apple will need to protect it's source and appeal to the entry or switcher crowd and carry the Adobe Operators, i don't hold that against them, I like the server side and Linux is the elephant in the room. wink.gif

I would like to work more in Linux and less in Microsoft and that's a sure thing!  I love things/processes that involve cooperation between parties and hate things like Windows Vista that want to have monolithic control of things.  I think OS X has the potential to be on the side of the angels but there are definitely problems!

Here's a link with someone else's ideas about this subject:
