OT: Alaska Bear Cam

Does a bear frolic in the woods?

The Wired story linked above describes the scene and has a link to the bear cam:
QUOTE
In something akin to the Big Brother reality television show, the camera pans the falls where the bears gather to brawl over salmon, cool off in the falls, sunbathe on the rocks and fatten up for the long, Alaska winter.
The cam delivers what the story promises. I've been watching two bears for 15 minutes.

It's tough just being a salmon these days!

I looked from a 1G//G4 DI on DSL. Pretty grainy pic in contrast to web cams I've looked at previously from around the globe - some of which I assume were also solar powered.

In any event, thanks for the ref, D76. Just the sound track alone effects some cooling on this warm afternoon

And, BTW, "Mr. DeMille" those are nice pics you posted, too.

Thanks, again.

Couldn't tell if the 'rushing water' sound was from the falls or just the static. Only recognizable images were the multi-colored test patterns. Must be a problem due to the extreme temperature differences between here and there! eek2.gif Or maybe a few bears have decided they don't want they privacy invaded! Thinking.gif I know of at least one tech guy who is a bear to work with...
