I guess I figured out how to make icons, using Elements 4.  Ive been cropping, sizing, and enhancing them, then just substituting them as I would a photo.
GetInfo, copy and paste.  But I must not get carried away, as the desktop could end up a really messy place with insects and piglet faces all over.  So I just did a few,,,,,,,,
Ive got some amazing desktop patterns(revolving) and some super screensavers.  Tis indeed fun to customize your machine.  I dont see many of my friends doing this with their PCs.
I can remember last year when we had a thread here where we showed pictures of our computers and desktops, that was fun.
A fun thing to do is to take pictures over a year or so, of just clouds and skys, then make them into desktop pattern series.  Its easier on the eyes.

Iconizer Pro is $15. (I've generally found that anything with "Pro" in the name ain't free!)

I dont mind paying at all for a good product, so I sure will look at this link after dinner.
Actually the icons I made with Elements by hand this afternoon are pretty snifty!

Just looking at the $ that I gave last year to the Humane Society of America to help evacuate and care for the abandoned pets during Katrina, paying for software is nothing.
