(ULP!) Guess WHO's late here??
Thank you all so much for your kind, sweet, thoughtful wishes!
Yes, I had a wonderful, wonderful birthday (even though I spent the entire weekend on the road, driving our son back to Michigan after packing him up to go back to school!)
My family was really, especially nice to me! They bought the most gorgeous flower arrangement, took me to dinner and everyone ordered vegetarian dishes to share, and my daughter even gave me some of her clothes to wear so I wouldn't look like a goofy old lady when we dropped off our son.
And now for some Historical additions/corrrections:
RHPConsult:
QUOTE
Historical Note:
Since the early days of TeeEss
we have been privileged to have
Dr. Professor Lorraine in our midst,
keeping all of us both honest and
amused with her special insights
and good humor.
Oh yes, she also knows her Macs.
One terrific, ice-skating Grandma, she!!
I find it so amusing the way Dr. Professor RHPConsult addresses me... It reminds me of the character in Alexander McCall Smith's series on "Portuguese Irregular Verbs" with Professor Dr. Maria-Moritz von Iglefeld and friends (hilarious -- 3 short novels).
Regarding the "early days of TeeEss" I have to thank
kelly for finding me and bringing me over from the NoWonder board that had become the NoHelp-unless-you-pay-us board!
But I must protest "she also knows her Macs" should really read, "she knows little about Macs but tries real hard to learn"-- a better evaluation!
"Ice-skating..." I'm afraid I gave that up when my son gave it up (after Junior Olympics in Pairs and Ice Dancing, 1998) and I no longer had a partner (to catch me when I stumbled!)
Thank you again. EVERYONE! The best Cyber-Family anyone could ever want!!
Lorraine
