Remote Access on Control Strip

On the pull-up menu for Remote Access (accessed from Control Strip) there are several items listed, as follows:
Remote Access Idle
Remote Access
Status Display
•Default
Gear Box Config
Connect

(Default has a • bullet in front)
I would like to know how to reconfigure that pull-up menu, i.e., where in the hard drive (or wherever) do I go to remove or add items. Thanks. I use a Mac, system 9.2.2.

Been away from 9 for a while now so things are fuzzy, but there is a Remote Access folder in the Preferences folder in the System Folder. One of them is Remote Access Connections. I don't know if you can doubleclick that to open it. See if you can. Otherwise try putting the Remote Access prefs in another location temporarily (like the Trash), restart and see what shows up in the Control Strip. If that doesn't do it, try the same with the Connections file.

It may also be possible to change things through the TCP/IP panel. Just can't remember.

Rearranging the items

To change the order of the items in the Control Strip:
• Hold down the Option key and drag the items.

Customizing the Control Strip
You can add a new item to the Control Strip if that item has a special Control Strip module.

To add an item to the Control Stirp:
• Drag the item's Control Strip module onto the Control Strip.
Note: The module is moved from its orgiginal location on yuour disk (or copied, if it's on another disk} into the Control Strip Modules folder (inside the System Folder).

To remove an item from the Control Strip:
• Drag the item's Control Strip module of the Control Strip Modules folder (inside the System Folder).

Tip: You can copy a module directly from the Control Strip to another location by holding down the Option key and dragging the module to the new location.

It just struck me that this thing might be the prototype of the dock.
