synchronizing accounts in .mac
« on: December 01, 2006, 04:39:55 AM »
Hey Y'all,  sos.gif  I recently purchased my permanent . mac account, but the trial account is still set to open when I click Mail. I have Panther and .mac sync must be setup to operate automatically with Tiger. There is a procedure for synchronizing the old and new in Panther; somewhere I read " sync for systems earlier than 10.4".  I didn't have time to pursue it at the time.   wallbash.gif  Now I can't find it again  .

Will someone, please, come to my rescue again?

Well! Guys did I ask the wrong question? Or what? Is the old gang there any more?

I've been really preoccupied with various things including putting our little log cottage on the market, not leaving a lot of extra time to be on line. We expect be moving back to the city in a couple of weeks.    whew.gif

I finally ordered Pogue's book Mac For Dummies. Not much quality, free time to study right now though. My answer is probably somewhere in it's pages.

Let me know if the old gang is still hanging out here.

TNX,

Liz

Liz, I don't know if I have your answer or not; however I had trouble with .Mac when I first got into it. It wouldn't sync among other things. I wrote .Mac support and it took awhile (a couple of weeks), but they finally got my problem solved. Wish I could be of more help.

TNX Roy, well I guess I am on the right track since I have started a thread with mac support and have gotten a couple of answers possibly leading to the answer.

whew.gif I thought everybody had left Techsurvivors I've been away so long.
