Need Safari
« on: December 12, 2006, 11:42:47 AM »
Have an iMac G5 1.8 Ghz. Never, ever use Safari so I trashed it all. Today I bought a Logitech Harmony remote control for TV/DVD/stereo receiver, etc.
Low and behold I need Safari all of the sudden. I can load the software from the remote onto my iMac from CD, but apparently I need to have a specific folder from Safari to download any necessary info from Logitech.
Any place I can find a version for OS 10.4.8?
Todd

You can do a Custom install from your 10.4 disc

Thanks for the input, the trouble is that I only have the 10.3.5 disks that came with the iMac new. Everything else has been done through Software Update. I tried to grab it from that disk, and the installation begins and then quits on me. I'm guessing it's because the newer OS won't accept that version of Safari.
Oops! Wrong again on my part. I do indeed have the 10.4 Tiger DVD. Just had it stashed in a different spot than the rest!
Thanks again!
