Sorry, I didn't think it was at all that big?

Later: Possibly the picture had been eating too many latkes!   smile.gif

It came up as 1440x?? When I viewed th original it did not show that big but it was two monitors wide here on the board.
Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

By golly!  They look good.  Haven't had any decent latkes since my mum used to make them.   I shall have a go!  (If I'm allowed in the kitchen, that is!) biggrin.gif

Really looks a great recipe.  I'm off to find a monkey biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

There is also a fruitcake recipe  dry.gif  there if you like that sort of thing!   smile.gif I was spoiled in my youth by a Jewish friend's grandmother who did the old country latkes!  I don't think I've had any since that were that good; probably the chicken fat!

I thought this might be a good website to interest kid's in cooking!  Didn't see anything there that wasn't kid safe!

I sent the url of that site to my Granddaughters a few months/weeks ago. I would have sworn I got it from some one posting about it here. Anyway, you're correct about its 'kids-friendly' attitude.

Are you sure TS Bear didn't post something about that site? Thinking.gif

some of the other recipes:

The recipe from NPR for the cranberry and horseradish stuff that comes out the color of Pepto-Bismal is there!

You can download a text only copy(MS Word) here.

Note. With Safari you will get a "Go to this address" page. Look in your Download folder and you will see a "latkes.doc" file.
