Thanks for the birthday wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This year is one of the
BIG decade ones - I'm 70 and in July, my wife and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. However, (in the analogy of a "used car") when people say I'm old, I reply...
"I may be 70, but I'm low mileage, I've been driven by a little old lady for the past 50 years and I've been serviced regularly (however, like on an old car, the service intervals have gotten further and further apart)."
As you get older, you sometimes begin to wonder "How much longer". I recently read that in the US when you are 65, half will live to be about 84. With my math and engineering background, I remembered that 7 x 12 is 84. And there are 12 months in a year, therefore, every 7 years could represent one month. Using this analogy, I'm entering the first day of November of my lifetime.
A friend sent me this link about
seniors.
I'm not sure when or where I got it, but the page below gives some history that occurred on my birthday.
