Heard this on NPR this morning, also. The 'catch' is that the survey asked for opinions about a companies
reputation not its
products. The story I heard said that many seemed impressed by the Gates Foundation philantrophy as much as anything else. And, let's face it, most people who use MS products don't know anything else, anyway, so you can't expect them to expect better. Secondly, one never wants to admit that they have been taken in by anybody whose stuff they purchased.
And the important part of the report is that people don't consider "Corporations" as 'good' anyway. The survey seems more about peoples opinions, educated or not. But I suppose those are valued by somebody for something.
