Google Maps for You-add graphics and info

Similar to other mapping services but now allows drawing objects on the maps. You can also add images and movies. Edit the text entries as plain text, RTF and html ( uses CSS!). You can then insert the link to the map(s) in your web page/blog. Select it as "Public" and it will be included in any search that displays the page it's on as well as searches in Google Maps. Price is right, also! smile.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Pretty cool. I like that I can make an unlisted map. I can set that for family to find our new home. smile.gif

That is neat!  I think I will make one also, as we do have guests in summer who dont really know the back roads.  We usually go up to one of the Cape Cod Canal bridges and wait in the State Police parking lot for our friends, then lead them to our house. Or giving them directions on the cell phone as they drive.
This would be easier, I could be staying home cooking instead.

Oh, speaking of Google Maps, this is cute, but I dont think I am going to try it.  Flying to London is much easier. rofl.gif

1. go to www.google.com
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
(hit get directions)
6. scroll down to step #23

Jane,

I'm with you, I think I'll skip step 23 also.

That's even further than that guy who set the long distance swimming record recently. And he was swimming down river on the Amazon with the flow!

If you use Google Earth, can't you add photographs to the map?
