Kris asks: I wonder how they determined how long it would take?
Hey, Kris:
It's Simple.
My prophesy is that it works about like this: 3800 miles / 703 hours.
That, however is far from the whole story
The land portions will consume 5 hours and 3 minutes.
The interstitial in-the-water portion (of aprox 3,462) miles will be negotiated by the Australian Crawl stroke @ a conservative 2.78 mph for the beginning and ending portions of 6 and 4 days, respectively, while the middle/missle segment – of 2,795 miles – will likely proceed (subsequent to swimming into a congregation of Box Jellyfish straying far, far from the Caribbean) at a rate of 142.6 mph for 19.3 days!
See?
Like I say, “Simple!”
