And I just found out that Kris is a leftie!
Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

My wife always tells me I'm not in my right mind.

She's usually correct. Very logical.

That is actually a bit deceiving.
Yes, I do use the mouse with my left hand but I am actually right handed, at least I was for most of my life.

When I started getting serious about computing I had a lot of problems with carpal tunnel (repetitive stress) because I was also using my right hand for my personal art work, cutting with scissors at work, drawing on the chalkboard, etc.

So I consciously decided to use and train my left hand to do all the computing work. Within a few months I was pretty adept at using that hand and now even use it when i am in Photoshop. I still do have to use my right for writing and drawing but I think forcing my brain and muscles to do things that were different was a good thing overall. My corpus callosum is expanding daily.

Glad I'm not the only one who does stuff like that....

It hurt my right knee to "cross my legs" with right ankle on left knee, so I stopped doing that, oh, ten years ago or so. About 2 years ago, I began having minor discomfort in both knees. The doctor told me it is arthritis. I started taking Glucosamine(sp?) and it got better. About 3 months ago, the pain returned in a different spot on the right knee only. I went back on the pills. It's better now. I think I delayed the onset of suffering by changing my habit.

I noticed pain in my right wrist after toting around my briefcase. I'm right handed. I figured that was something I could easily do left handed. I have carried it in my left hand ever since.

Why am I reminded of the old Henny Youngman joke:

QUOTE
Patient: "Doctor, it hurts when I go like this."

Doctor: "Then don't go like that."

Somehow, learning to use the mouse with the "other hand" seems a bit more challenging. smile.gif

And then there's Greg Oden of Ohio State basketball fame. Having injured his shooting hand, he taught himself to shoot free throws with the other hand. Now after one good year in college, he's taking his talent to the bank called the NBA. He could have sat out the season, but I guess it was worth it to switch.
