Yahoo Photo's is closing
« on: June 30, 2007, 01:28:54 PM »
Just in case anyone here uses Yahoo's photosite, or has a family member/friend who does ... this announcement is posted:
QUOTE
Yahoo! Photos is Closing
We're sorry. Yahoo! Photos is closing on September 20, 2007 so we are no longer accepting new accounts or allowing users to upload photos if you don't already have photos in your account. We've decided to focus all our efforts on Flickr - the award winning photo sharing community that Time Magazine has even called "completely addictive". Why not head over to Flickr for a look?

Apparently Yahoo is offering to move the pictures for registered users to any of these sites:

Flickr, KODAK Gallery, Shutterfly, Snapfish, or Photobucket

At least they gave warning. wink.gif

They actually said they were going to do this over a year ago when they bought Flickr.

What is "Yahoo"? tongue.gif We've had a lot of those type people around this area for as long as I've lived. One of the craziest names for a company I've ever heard of. It's never been used in a positive way that I know of. wallbash.gif But then, there are people who are still buying Vonage even with its idiotic theme 'song' and it's well publicized patent infringement problems/costs. Takes all kinds, I guess dntknw.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

In other words, you can't count on anything these yahoos say anyway... wink.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.
