Songs for Ice Cream Trucks
« on: July 27, 2007, 09:23:23 AM »
I can remember when I was young I used to love flagging the ice cream truck down.  I had to do this on the street behind the one I lived on because my street was too busy to have it stop there.  To this day I don't know what the blue flavor was on a red, white, & blue bomb pop but I know it was good when the cicada's were singing and the day was hot!  Later on I had the strange experience of running into an ice cream truck while cutting across the Old Protestant Burying Ground (where F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda were originally buried) in Rockville, Maryland; it had it's lights and chime going and was ready for business.

Anyway the other day I heard this thing on NPR's Fresh Aire program about this CD of songs for Ice Cream Trucks:

Kind of nice, kind of simple; but refreshing like a bomb pop!

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

How are you listening to this?  I can't open it with Real One Player and firefox says I'm missing a component.
Never mind, downloaded Real Player for OS X and it works now.

Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

Sorry, Jepinto, I forgot to say Realplayer; I have actually written emails of complaint about their use of Realplayer!  It's a PeeCee world!   wallbash.gif
