Google & Yahoo toolbars disappeared in FireFox 2.0.0.6
« on: August 01, 2007, 03:05:05 AM »
I have two problems with FireFox:

1)  I installed the latest version of FireFox (2.0.0.6) in my dual 2 GHZ PPV (running 10.8.10)  and noticed both my Google and Yahoo toolbars were gone. I tried everything including replacing the FF folder in .users>MM>application support>FireFox. The replacement came from my MacBook Pro (17"), single core OS 10.4.10) where the two toolbars appear everytime I boot up FF.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I fix this problem? By the way, I reverted to 2.0.0.5 and still had the same problem. I did notice when I brought up my Google home page it was formatted completeley different than before where the page was called Classic. Might this contribute to my problem?

2)  In addition to 1) when I tried to reinstall the Google or Yahoo tool bars, I got an unexplained  installation error -203. This occured for any new add-on I wanted to install.

Thanks for any ideas,
