New Apple Keyboards...
« on: August 07, 2007, 10:44:10 PM »
I looked at the picture of the new Apple keyboard's online and i think it's missing something that most current and veteran apple users will miss...

the apple key!

They printed "command" instead of printing the apple key on it, and put the little squiggily command logo too.

RIP

Sigh, I'm guessing that is due to the new switchers who only see "Command key" in the instructions and can't figure out that the little apple IS the Command key.

I wrote a bit on the new Apple Keyboards in my forum, I will post some here (too lazy to re-write the whole post).

The wired one is full size keyboard, while the wireless one is compact version.

As Parker pointed out,

The volume control and eject keys above numeric keys are shifted to function keys F10 to F13., and the “help” key is now a “fn” key.

And there are new special functions above the main typing area.

For more information, please visit Apple Keyboard.

Because that's just so confusing! rolleyes.gif

But, you're probably right. Nothing a few years of using a Mac wouldn't solve...

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

I'm thinking someone must be ready to jump in with a nice little Apple decal to paste on!  smile.gif

Or maybe your local Tatoo parlor could make it permanent! wink2.gif:wonky:

All i know is that i'm going to the Apple Store today to buy an old wireless keyboard, because having a new wireless keyboard on my macbook seems rather pointless, being that they're identical!
