We are trying to set up a live web cam on a unique rock carving project in our town.
A PC guy is setting it up. Our aim is for anyone to click on a link on a website that will take you to watch the carving in a separate window.
Today we tested it...
I go to an IP Address and log in.
I don't see any image, but mostly a white screen.
It has these links - Video Display,
And a message to download something called "ActiveX".
I cannot see a link to download this.
I asked a PC friend to do the same.
They can see the ActiveX link, download it, and then use the web cam.
Does this mean the web cam will not work on a Mac OS10.3.9?
Even when we have the link established on the website, will a Mac still be hampered?
I tried Safari and Firefox, thinking it may be a browser thing. Made no difference.
Could be a bummer!
