What an artist and photoshop can do.....

I've seen some creative people, but, IMO, this guy takes the cake!

Have a hard time just doing photo corrections in PS.  Amazing how he can start from nothing and end in such a beautiful piece of artwork.

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Interesting but we really don't know how long the 'painting' actually took to create. Thinking.gif dntknw.gif Of course, a 'realistic' artist can always make it seem fast, if not easy! smile.gif

I don't even have PS! PS Elements seems to have a lot more than I can use! blush-anim-cl.gif But I would suggest that you concentrate on a small set of functions and practice those until they become close to automatic. In the effort, you'll learn what they actually do and when to use them as well as in what combination. smile.gif

I was just trying to put my knowledge of PS in perspective to what this guy knows....LOL  I correct pictures that I took all the time, but, other than that and adding some some tidbits, I can not imagine drawing with PS.

Here's a time lapse of an oil painting that took over 5 months. The painter is the brother of a friend of mine.

I started to say something about that, also. smile.gif Maybe that's why it's called Photoshop rather than Paintshop! laugh.gif I've never been a good artist with pencil/pen/brush/mouse! The various brushes do help with blending certain areas/edges, especially when used with the "Burn" or "Dodge" tools. However, it still takes me longer with less spectacular results than your linked image! smile.gif

That teapot painting reminds me of one of my sons—five months, three shirts! rofl.gif I suppose painting at a 90 degree off axis helps create the shading/distortion/etc.? Avoids concentrating on the objects as real objects?

I was just wondering if that artist was going to add vivid color to the painting and in the end you really see it.  Such nice work!

Wow, Those Photoshop ones are amazing. Lots of talent there.

Remember years and years ago when on the PBS channel there used to be an artist who would paint a landscape in about 20 minutes and it would be really beautiful.  He had a German accent, I forgot his name, but I think the show might have been called, The Mighty Brush, or something like that.  About 40 years ago, but I am still impressed with that elderly artists work.
Long before computers and Photoshop. I will ask my brother if he can remember the mans name, as my brother is also an artist.
If he remembers, I will see if I can find something about this person on Google, its worth a look.

Yes, I think he was one of the ones we used to watch.
We just got home from a vacation in Maine and NH, and I wish I could paint some of those beautiful mountain and seashore scenes.
