Photoshop rather than Paintshop!
I've never been a good artist with pencil/pen/brush/mouse! The various brushes do help with blending certain areas/edges, especially when used with the "Burn" or "Dodge" tools. However, it still takes me longer with less spectacular results than your linked image!
That teapot painting reminds me of one of my sons—five months, three shirts!
I suppose painting at a 90 degree off axis helps create the shading/distortion/etc.? Avoids concentrating on the objects as real objects?
