Situation:
- I have placed my Documents Folder in the Dock, for quicker access
- When I wish to look at an item (say, a folder) not in a Directory window, but have it open in Finder
Result: The item in question remains (so to speak)
only in the Directory, and is not (cannot) be opened in Finder.
It seems to me that that is . . .
- new in 10.4.x,.x,x, or
- always a limit of OSX, or
- I haven't been paying attention to all the advantages/limitations to the new Directory
I hope this is understandable. If not, let me know I'll try to clarify.
However. if by some freak of chance you understand what I'm asking, is it possible to do what I wish – open a Folder resting (sort of) in an intermediate position in the chain of items displayed in Directory. If yes, what should I do to accomplish it.
