Now this is pretty neat - if your house or business has been showing up in the wrong location, you can now move the marker. Read the comments after the story though - some people have had some issues with Safari.

I didn't get to try it though - all the locations I tried for friends and family were already remarkably correct!! tongue.gif

So any registered user can move any marker? I see fun ahead. tongue.gif

Wonder if I can actually add "us". When the map pic was last done, we were only an empty lot and can't be found in a search.  no2.gif

If there is no marker to move, I don't know that you can actually add one. They're constantly updating though, so it may appear soon. Is there any way to email them? Of course, with all the new subdivisions being built all over the place, I'm sure they're busy just keeping up!

I probably could email them, but I've just told family to search for street name and that gets them close enough. Besides, Google still thinks its "Drive" instead of "Terrace" -- and even the PO knows better. wink.gif

GoogleEarth can't find us either. biggrin.gif

I'll celebrate when it's clear that TomTom will also agree that I really don't reside 3 doors west of where I actually hang my hat (and my Buckeye flag!)

If it works, this will be good news, indeed.

Thanks, Paddy.

PS (later):  Woo Hoo. Easy . . . as in piece o' cake. Thanks, again, Paddy.

I already know where I am.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

And so do all the SPAMmers, bill collectors and junque mailers! laugh.gif

"Fun ahead", indeed! How does Google know you are the one who is moving your own address? Did they gather that when one registers? I can't remember what I gave them when we started the TS members map. BTW, I need to check that, last time I visited there were some 'non' members wanting to link to our map (which is not even supposed to be public)...Thinking.gif Paranoid.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES

When I started to make the change, my Google Account (previously unused) – which "arrived" one day many months ago while shopping at Amazon – revealed itself. Thus, I assume it "knew" who I was.

After all these years of "living" 3 doors down the street, it's nice to be "home".
