I was watching some music videos on YouTube, on Internet Explorer, specifically the one at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvu05oT7UB8...feature=related. Why is there such a lag in the video, which comes in about 10 seconds after the audio? Is it a Mac problem or just an unfortunate aspect of the technology?

I just listened to /watched it all the way through... and found no 'out of sync' between the audio and video.

What machine / OS are you running this on.... and it could be an internet load problem also.

Runs OK here. I'm suspecting Explorer as being rather ancient for this stuff.
Do the other videos in the same list also run out of sync?
