It's all about service. The Store concept was a stroke of genius.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

The comments are great - amazing the number of people who were diehard Windows users and have now switched entirely. But of course, that upswing in Apple's market share had to come from somewhere!

The Apple stores are brilliant - they're a real pleasure to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful and NEVER pressure you, which is much appreciated. They also recognize when they're talking to someone who is a long-time Mac user and technologically savvy, unlike the nitwits at BestBuy who all assume that you know nothing and will try to dazzle you with outrageously incorrect bits of techno-babble.

My only complaint about the Apple stores is that the ones in Toronto are ALWAYS jammed to the gills - you almost always have to wait for a turn at one of the display models of anything. But hey - I'd rather see them do well!!

As I understand it, you can make a "shopping appointment" for anything. If you buy, great! If you just want to ask questions and browse (the old way) that's fine too.
