OLYMPIA, Washington, December 12, 2007 (ENS) - The Gladiator, the state-funded seasonal emergency response tug stationed at Neah Bay, was dispatched shortly before midnight last night to assist a tug towing a loaded oil barge after the vessel temporarily lost its primary electrical power and steering.

It is good to hear news that something bad "didn't" happen; we know that this is the common state but the bad news just washes over us all of the time!  smile.gif

Don't get too comfortable Gunug. Imagine the worse case scenario, …. The tanker spilled it's 2 million gallons of diesel just before the storm. The wind blows the fuel onshore as the power lines fall. Far fetched, not at all, it's already happened elsewhere.

Hey do you remember this British  60's song by the Hedgehoppers Anonymous?

What's the weather like today?

And in other shipwreck news, the last vessel of Captain Kidd will rise again from the waters off of the Dominican Republic. ahoy.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.
