Everybody's cvorrect, George!
You have a year to decide, AFAIK
My personal experience(s):
I've always let any new electronic equipment run 24/7 for 30-40 days after getting it home, on the presumption that if anything will go wrong, it will likely do so within that time frame.
- Lillian's G-5 iMac had a video failur on Day 5 and the Apple Store replaced it.
- My 2004 G4 AlumPB (w/AppleCare) required 4 visits to the Texas repair deport in roughly 2 weeks when it was about 18 months old, or so, and it was forthwith replaced by the AppleStore. Its AC has now explored and connot be renewed. Not a cough or a sneeze with the replacement
- I had to use AC a couple of weeks ago when I gave my daughter my early AEBS ("Yurt") for her Igloo + her husband's Dell. We had a puzzle which had to be resolved in a hurry. We got excellent telephone support which at the time I thought well worth the 49 bucks and change.
My only question would be would John Lewis, Ltd. replace your InteliMac under their policy?
