(That was fast!)
Today I had the experience of using - or more correctly teaching a bunch of kids how to use - Photoshop Elements 5 on the school PCs. It's a very nice program - vastly different from my Elements 2!! I think I'll get 6 - just because it has some fun things that Photoshop CS3 doesn't and it will be easier for the kids to use.
Elements 6 also has Bridge - apparently not quite as powerful as the version with CS3, but I've been so happy using Bridge for the first time in the last few weeks, as I organize what is now becoming thousands of digital photos for the school yearbook - it's worth every penny of the price of Elements, if you ask me. I've never liked iPhoto's sorting and album structure - Bridge lets you define your own filing system and do all sorts of useful things like batch rename that allows you to completely control the parameters etc. iPhoto's batch rename is primitive at best by comparison - although I am still using iPhoto 6 and it may have improved with '08.

Oh, I just got it tonight from UPS and Lilly opened the box, the pictures will come later.
Looking forward to installing and using it.
Thanks, Adobe for it!
