My first reaction was "this is April 1, right?" but this article was written over a week ago...and there are others. If people don't object to this sort of thing as a gross invasion of privacy, then they really are getting what they deserve! (along the lines of people elect the governments they deserve)
I'm always surprised at the folks who say, "No biggie." If Comcast gets away with this, they will all do it and then your expectation of privacy within your home will be gone forever.
Glad we don't have comcast.

I'm afraid it won't help them anyway 'round here - I almost never watch TV in real time any more and record everything on the DVR. Then I watch everything in 45 minutes instead of an hour - using the lovely extreme fast forward to zap the ads.
Hmmm ... okay ... if the technology is there to do this with their cable box, then it's there to somehow get into your DVR (or will be) ... and soon we won't be able to fast forward through commercials; or they will be commercials tailored to our needs/wants/desires. :barf:
