The bizarre discovery was made by a doctor in Darwin...
How coincidental is that???
Didn't find it on Snopes

Very coincidental, that's why I questioned it.
I couldn't find it on Snopes either.

Well, since the egg formed
around
the gecko, the 'chicken' obviously came first.

True. It's all over the media.
In fact, the discovery may have solved a riddle. Everyone knows that you can get salmonella from eating raw or undercooked eggs. What's not clear is how the salmonella bacteria get into the eggs. The discovery of a gecko inside a chicken's egg shows that things can enter a chicken's reproductive system from the outside, which means that bacteria can also enter a chicken's reproductive system from the outside.

It might be so simple that a caveman could understand it, but I'm staying away from that insurance.
