Comcast trying to sell 46 outlying cable systems

Ridiculous statement of the day:

QUOTE
"It's not about money at all," said Robert Serrano, an analyst at SNL Kagan in Monterey, Calif. "They are pruning some of the more outlying areas in order to make a more efficient cluster."

And then he goes on to say:

QUOTE
When a cable system is concentrated geographically, it is cheaper to provide services, Serrano said. If the area also happens to be more affluent, the company gets the added benefit of higher revenue per household.

We'll need to ponder that now... Thinking.gif

In some media, 'revenue' is not always defined as 'money!' If words are used in any part of a company, the definitions are what the company says they are. Please leave those pesky dictionary things on the shelf!

Respondents felt that customer service is poor, particularly when the call centre fails to understand the problems involved

Somehow, I don't think this is limited to rural areas!! laugh.gif

I think you're correct, most call centres are in the larger cities of India...wallbash.gif
