Al, as far as I know Recoton doesn't make a subwoofer. But the wireless speakers sure fill a need and aren't very expensive, which is nice.
My Bose setup has a subwoofer; those tiny Bose speakers don't produce any bass at all. It has a nice, full sound, which it should since the set was originally priced at $700
I lucked-out and bought them when Bose dropped the price and I paid $379, which is still a lot for computer speakers. But the sound beats just about anything I have heard, although I know of other comparably-priced speakers that have garnered reviews similar to the Bose.
My old ESS speakers already have ample bass, so when I add surround speakers I am going to wait and see how the ESS speakers handle the lower-end before I get a subwoofer; I may not need that extra bottom-end.
