AT&T lost 1.56 million phone lines in the quarter

I have an indoor booster (actually two, but you can't use them both I found out). Also have a rotator which is handy but I don't want to have to rotate the antennae frequently cause the rotator controller is in another room from where I  spend most of my time.  No, I can't move it, too complicated to explain.

Anyway, if things don't improve when the final switch takes place I may consider an outside booster. However, reading through the reviews on that Radio Shack one makes one think that the older models worked but many of the recent posters complain that it died on them after short use. You may have gotten one that was better made. So many of today's products are just slapped together.

Well, since this has morphed from phones to TVs... (AT&T is in both markets, so it's not much of a stretch)

My son plugged in his TV and connected the rabbit ears and was getting ESPN! We couldn't figure that one out.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Maybe in the US, but not here in Canada, unfortunately. No such thing as roaming for free outside your "home" area with a cell phone here, and adding an unlimited North America long distance plan to your home phone bill is $20/mo - which is only worth it if you make a heck of a lot of calls, since there are plenty of online phone cards available that offer 2¢/3¢ a minute calls to the US and Canada. The cheapest (Canadian ONLY) long distance add-on Rogers offers for a cell phone is $12/mo for 100 minutes. It's truly pathetic. Family plans here are $25 extra per additional phone - Verizon offers the same for $9.99. And on and on. Needless to say, the most profitable division at Robbers is the...wireless division. Ted Rogers is the richest Canadian. Canadians are getting screwed by the telcos here and we know it. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about it - not if we want cell phones/cable/internet etc.

Well Kris, if I can find it and you want it, i'll be more than happy to send it to you, free of charge and shipping. We're in the long process of relocation... onward and upward, which means we're moving..and so we're scattered and spattered...but...I don't suspect i'll be using a booster before the bell tolls, and so, if you want it, and I find it ,I'll just send it your way. wink.gif
