Why do I have to scroll left to right to read the posts on this new site and not the old one?  And the print is way to small!!! I don't post much but I do check the site most every day.

sew... What browser and version of it are you using? I still like to use Netscape 4.76 a lot, but find that it doesn't work on this board... I'm afraid it's "showing it's age"...  sad.gif It doesn't handle some of the newer coding very well.

I've taken to using Opera 5 only for the board and it works fine. I'm not positive about a few of the other browsers.

About the best thing I can suggest is to try an upgrade to Netscape 7.x if you're using an older version of that. You could try going to "My Controls" at the top of the page and try a few of the other skins to see if they work better.

The board is drawn up on a fixed width table on all pages.  I am assuming that you have a 15" monitor at a resolution of 800x600, correct?  I had this same problem on my personal forum and making the tables wide to fill the space.  I ended up making the tables smaller to accomodate smaller sized monitors.  The forum looked great on my 17" monitor @ 1024x768, but when I went to work and viewed the forum with a 15" monitor, the sides ran off and a scroll bar would appear.
If you'd like to compare....  http://www.hawaiianflavor.com/forums/

The font thing, I am not sure of, seems fine to me on my end.  I am currently using the TS Special skin, you might want to try the various skins that we offer here to see if any come out to your liking.  Also, in your browsers preferences try adjusting the standard and fixed width font size, see if that helps at all.  My fonts for my browser is set at size 14 for both standard and fixed width.

Actually if you look in the Source for the pages you will see that the tables are done in percentages, not fixed width.

If I make my browser window smaller the tables and everything else squeeze together to fit the window. Of course there is a limit to this, especially in the reply page which has those boxes, but the thread pages should be seen on a 15 inch monitor without scrolling.

I just changed my resolution to 800x600 and dragged the window to the left to the point at which it no longer shrank and it was no more than the size of a 15 inch screen.

Changing font sizes in your prefs would solve that problem. In fact the text on this board is larger in the threads than that on the UBB board. Do try other skins though as each is somewhat different.

Sometime next week I will probably be adding a couple more skins.

doh.gif Oops, Krissel, since I usually use the IBX skin on my site.  I based my answer on that skin.

When I looked in the macros settings, TS Special was in percents, but the IBX skin is done in pixels.
