PS Elements 4

I tried my usual places, and the best I've found is Amazon at either $84 (98% rating) or $89 (99% rating). Since it's an "older" program, I'd rather not pay this much. biggrin.gif

Anyone know any good deals?

(No, I don't want to go to PSE 6. I've read way too many discouraging things about it, and the "real estate" takeover is a killer on the deal for me.)

You can join LEM-Swap for buying & selling Mac stuff. http://groups.google.com/group/lemswap
After you join, post a WTB (want to buy).

Also check your local Craig's List. You can also check other large city's Craig's List. Then there's also eBay.
Cheers, Tom

Kimmer, you're going to have trouble finding it from what I can see, after Googling.

I'd suggest eBay.

The completed auction pricing is "unavailable" right now, so I can't tell you how much it goes for usually.

I like PS Elements 6 - other than the bit about it taking over my screen. It's got lots of nice features (including things like the redeye fix that the full version of Photoshop doesn't have) - I use it a fair bit for quick editing for the school yearbook that I edit, even though I have Photoshop CS3.

I'd recommend the 30 day trial - see if you like it. smile.gif And it's $89.99 if you download it - or $69.99 if you are eligible for the upgrade price.

Tom, thanks for the link. I'll look into LEM-Swap.

The eBay auctions. The one might work as she doesn't require a "verified" paypal acct; the other auction does and my acct isn't verified because to do so they require my banking info -- which I refuse to give to them. wink.gif

I'd rather have a new copy, but if I can't find it for a decent price, I'll just stick with PSE 3.

Kimmer, the requirement for a 'verified' account doesn't always cut you out. I've dealt with people who had that listed on the site but since my otherwise eBay record is spotless they accepted the paypal payment anyway even though I'm technically not verified either.

I just got 6 for Mac and am beginning to really like it, I didnt at first.
But I sure do now.  Go ahead, you will begin to like it, but you have to get rid of the background which blocks out the whole desktop, its in the General prefs, uncheck Fill Workspace Background.  Thanks to TS, I did that last week, now I really like 6.
Also Im getting used to the dark gray.
I have 4 too, so if I cant accomplish something with 6, I drop back to 4.

I'd vote for version 6, also. Especially at the prices for 4 or the uncertainty of eBay (I'm just too untrusting, I guess). There are too many new features to not go ahead and get the newest one. Just get a soft 'bullet!' wink.gif
