Help Stop The Alaska Wolf Massacre

Pass the PAW Act -- End Alaska's Aerial Hunting Program!  sos.gif

Please tell Congress to support the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, legislation to close a federal loophole and curb Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program and prevent programs like it from spreading to places like the Greater Yellowstone region.

Please kindly fill out the form by clicking on the link below to urge your Representative to support the PAW Act.  It would help tremendously if you would add a personal statement of your own to this petition.  thanx.gif

Defenders Of Wildlife Action

Please help to save these beautiful wild Wolves from the cruel, barbaric Trophy Hunting, "City rich folk" in Alaska and other regions of America, who shoot them just for sport. Many are shot from small planes flying overhead chasing them for long distances until they are exhausted. Often they are not killed outright and suffer a slow, bloody, agonising death. The orphaned pups are killed too, along with their mothers, some of them new born, and still in their dens.

Hundreds have died already and many more will continue to die until the Loopholes in the State Laws are closed for ever.

Alaskan folk have twice voted to overturn the policy but the state Government continues to allow this senseless, cruel, selfish slaughter.

Please support the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act. The PAW Act would end needless and cruel aerial hunting of wolves and other wildlife by closing a loophole in the Federal Airborne Hunting Act of 1972.

DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE ACTION ARE HOPING TO PERSUADE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO OVERTURN THESE LAWS.

I am British born and bred and sadly have never had the privilidge of seeing a Wild Wolf living in it's natural habitat, why?,  because these beautiful animals have already been driven to extinction in the UK and many parts of Europe. It is hoped to try and re-introduce them into small areas of Scotland, and this is already under way.

Well, come on over to the States and you don't need to go to Alaska, either. These animals have been introduced back into many areas of the 'lower-48', as we call them. And they seem to be doing quite well judging by the complaints from cattle ranchers! smile.gif Senseless killing of any animal, wild or not is abhorrent and should be criminalized, IMHO. In many places there are laws concerning that very thing. And I'm sure you are aware that there are hundreds, if not thousands of animals, all around the world that are suffering a decline in population not only from illegal 'hunting' but destruction of habitat. Everything from elephants to Monarch butterflies and even many that most of us have never even heard of, much less seen. I appreciate your concern but don't be upset if some have different animals or even different priorities in their choices of what to protect. salute.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
