Sticky Cursor

Not a big problem, but have you ever put the point of the cursor on an item, clicked and the menu hidden at that point comes up? Then you have to click again to remove the menu and click again to make the item work like you wanted in the first place.

Any ideas?

Can you give us an example? Was it on a web page? In a program?

Yes. That happens if you click with the right-hand button (on a mouse), you click with two fingers touching the trackpad (on a laptop), or you click when you have your finger on the CONTROL key on the keyboard (on any computer). That's how it's supposed to work.

It has just happened recently. I have an iBook and, yes, it works correctly right now if I use just one finger, but I have been using this machine for 4 years and it just started. Lazy sencond finger?

Or one on the other hand near the control key? "Real" typists are probably the only ones who have this problem. Since I rarely use more than four fingers, I keep up with where they are much more consciously!

When I'm eating at the same time I using the computer... and my plate is next to the keyboard

Maybe a change in your settings.

If you NEVER want that menu to pop up when you use the trackpad, it's easy to do. Click System Preferences. Click Keyboard & Mouse. Click the Trackpad tab. Turn off (uncheck) "Place two fingers on trackpad and click for secondary click."
