Capt. Sullenburger on 60 minutes!
« on: February 08, 2009, 06:55:01 PM »
We just watched his interview on the TV show 60 Minutes just minutes ago, it was an amazing show!
Well interviewed, well done, and really an amazing hero he is.
I hope some of you found this on your cable systems too, we just happened to surf to it, as we are not good TV watchers.
I really really hope that it will be shown again.

I was looking forward to this program since they had been advertising it all week.  The best quote was his comment that all of his life he had been preparing for just this moment. He is the kind of person that the youth of today should be emulating, not the celebrities or athletes who cheat or take drugs.  I hope the teachers around the country are using him as an example of why it's necessary to study and learn all you can. You never know how important it may be.

The crew is supposed to be interviewed live on Good Morning America tomorrow (Monday).

That is a great idea!  I will run that by our daughters, as they both are involved with the school programs.
Actually our older daughter just prepared all the power point slide shows for the kids travel talks.
I sure agree, Sully is exactly a person who should be admired, and oh, I dispise the way the media fawns over the celebs who screw up their lives endlessly.
I will mention this today, perhaps they could show some of it during the morning assembly sometime this week.
