Office 2004 for Mac PowerPoint
« on: May 15, 2009, 10:31:09 AM »
iMac G5 PPC OS 10.4.11

A friend sent me from his PC, a 21 slide PowerPoint presentation (.pps) with sound. I can see the presentation ok but I don’t have any sound. Am I missing a Microsoft Sound app., or driver, or plugin, of some sort?

My Office 2004 for Mac is 11.5.5. The PowerPoint part is 11.5.1. These are the latest Office 2004 versions.

Is the sound in the PPT an embedded an MP3 (masquerading as a WAV?)?

You may be able to open it in Audacity (free download from SourceForge.net) and save back out as a WAV.
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog very long.
Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.
