I was on the phone with an Apple tech this morning (minor issue with the wireless mouse - rectified) and I happened to mention that I was running Onyx about every 6 - 8 weeks and what did he think of that?  He asked me which version and I replied that I had last used 1.9.5 (leopard) but I had just downloaded the update 2.0.4.  He told me very clearly NOT to use 2.0.4.  He had and it had wreaked havoc in his system files and he eventually had to re-install and he went back to 1.9.5. I went to Macfixit, no mention of onyx 2.0.4. So I dumped 2.0.4 and using Timemachine re-installed 1.9.5.  Has anyone heard of or had any issues with onyx 2.0.4?

Not a peep regarding issues with 2.0.4 at VersionTracker... 2.0.4 has been downloaded over 27,000 times via VersionTracker. One would expect myriad negative reviews if there was a significant bug in the software.

Google searches using the terms "Onyx 2.0.4," "Onyx 2.0.4 problem," and "Onyx 2.0.4 bug" returned no reports of problems on the first and second pages.

I suspect that your Apple tech experienced an isolated incident that may or may not have been caused by Onyx, but probably not...
