FlightTrack Pro- Live Tripit Flight Status Tracker $9.99

The Unofficial Apple Weblog likes it!

The Tripit.com app appears to be less focused on flights but it makes it easy to coordinate hotel, rental car and other travel plans and... Wait For it... It's FREE! Reading the TUAW review of Tripit.com and the reader comments I get the impression that the most cost effective combination is the $4.99 FlightTrack and Tripit.com.

It's "apps" like these that convinced me to invest in an iPhone...   harhar.gif

Or is hat a limited time offer? Just a little above that "FREE" you say it's $9.99. My usual limit is $0.99! blush-anim-cl.gif Especially for an application I'm not likely to use. I gave up traveling when they stopped paying me to do it! laughhard.gif Unfortunately, that was way to long after it stopped being fun or even comfortable...

The Tripit.com app is another app, that is why it is free... The $9.99 adds some Tripit.com features, but apparently not the hotels, rental cars, etc.

I thought that being an xpilot you might be vaguely interested...

I have used the 'Flight Tracker' Widget on the Mac. Not much use when I go to pick her up on arrival, however. Our airport has a very, very conveniently placed "Cell Phone Lot" for people waiting to meet someone. They they/she arrives at the gate, she calls and I meet her at the arrival doors just as she comes out!

Judy might be interested, however, she plans her flights very precisely and watches for the best time to make the purchase (usually for her and another lady who has trouble even using a cell phone...) and the hotels are either provided by her host or pre-arranged for a convention somewhere.

Still, FEE is one of my favorite prices! clap.gif
