If you don't have the time, try a booster seat (cushion), but be aware your legs may hit the bottom of the table top. A great solution would be for Apple to make the stand capable of flipping the screen so that the bottom aluminum was on the top. There were once several makers of monitors that could be flipped from horizontal (landscape) to vertical (portrait) position. Why not right/upside down? Simple gravity switch would flip the screen image when the screen was inverted/flipped.

are rather expensive desks that have a depressed area for a monitor. I once thought about one for my wife who has several fused vertebra in her neck. I decided against that, as a new wife was less expensive...
