60 minutes II Pixar
« on: May 28, 2003, 10:12:55 PM »
Was called to the TV tonight when someone saw Steve Jobs on 60 minutes II.
They did a interview with the folks at Pixar that made Finding Nemo.

Been following the development from this "Finding Nemo" since i saw the clip on the "Monsters Inc" dvd.
I sure love that movie and "Finding Nemo" looks to go the same way.
Never knew (till a few weeks ago) that Steve Jobs was behind Pixar blush-anim-cl.gif

Jobs bought Pixar for less than $10 million from George Lucas (originally, Pixar did the SFX for Star Wars, but became unprofitable when Lucas' later movies didn't require Pixar's knowledge and technology).

I suppose this is what Lucas did when Pixar released Toy Story and became hugely successful:

Power Macintosh G5 (Late 2004), 1.8 GHz, 1GB RAM, DVD/CD-RW combo, ATI Radeon 9600XT

iPod mini, 4 GB
AirPort Express
HP LaserJet 4200N
HP DeskJet 6940

 Hahahaha... biggrin.gif
And i bet Steve Jobs is like harhar.gif

The thing with George Lucas is that he can make his mind come to the screen and make it even looks awesome (Star Wars, Back to the Future) but i'm affraid the guy is only interested in his own movies and creations.
If would have given Pixar a little more thoughts he might have come up with another idea himself for the studio.

Yeah I happened to see that SB. smile.gif

Jobs is a billionaire from Pixar too.

The interesting thing is Pixar and Disney.

They've been going around about who's in control and get's the money.

Jobs is looking for a better deal. smile.gif
