Help with AGFA StudioScanIISi
« on: May 20, 2003, 10:54:30 PM »
Hi all!

I hooked up my scanner to do some work on my beige G3 (using OS x.2.4) and having tried everything from changing the cords of various types and lengths, all working with other machines, I still can't get the scanner to function at all!

Among things tried is changing the ID on the scanner up & down teh scale after shuting down and restarting the beige.  Still nothing.

The other thing I tried was go to the AGFA site and download their Fotolook 3.6 driver for the OS X and the sane results!

The only trhing I haven't tried is to place a terminator on the scanner.  Does anyone think it will work.  This scanner is an excellent tool and I sure hate to part from it.

Thanks

jguti. Hello. Has this ever worked with OS X? smile.gif

Do you have OS 9.x on that machine?

Have you made it work with that?

That seems to be your best option. smile.gif

If scanner doesn't have a built in termination then an external one might make a difference. You might also consider VueScan which has done the trick for some older machines running X.
