iPhone (original recipe) dilemma. Help, please.
« on: November 14, 2009, 03:56:46 PM »
My original model iPhone has been sailing along quite nicely for 3+ years, thank you.

It has been regularly up-dated.

The one action I cannot figure-out (perhaps because it may not be resident in this nifty little box) is how one clears accumulated messages via a DELETE ALL command. The best I've ever been able to do is consign each message 1-by-1 to the TrashCan.

Bummer.

Any ideas?

Found that version 2.0 of the software introduced multiple deletion capability thought not quite 'delete all'.  smile.gif

Whoops, so, too, does 3.1.2.

I'm trying to recall, now, why I hadn't found that while thrashing about!   Thinking.gif

I haven't found an app for global deleting messages. I do know that you cannot bulk delete voice mail messages - you must delete them one at a time I believe. If you want to delete one message in your  Recent Calls list you cannot do that. You can delete all of then or none!!

All I know the developers of IPhone software move in mysterious ways!

Hey "Graybeard" (even though I thought it was white):

How come you list yourself as a Founder, yet not joining until February 08????

If that's true, how come I knew you so well in the legendary summer of Two Oh Oh Oh?

Check yer Profile, or we'll make you tell the MamaMoose story again! And again.

Kris' suggestion on deletion is almost as good as "global", as it does as many "multiples" as you can select before the system is (apparently) overloaded. While sitting on the deck of the striking Artesa Winery in Napa this gorgeous autumn aftenoon, I got rid of a coupla hundred, pronto, just like  t-h-a-t,  more or less.

BTW, Tom, have you ever visited there?  Artesa Tour

Tom's join date is later because he had a problem with his membership and had to "reregister". Not sure if that info can be changed in the Admin Panel but I will check it out.  smile.gif
