I don't use either one. Instead, I have Safari's home page set to my local forecast from NOAA's National Weather Service. I have found NOAA to be more reliable than The Weather Channel.

Re-installed it. I liked it because it was always available in the Menu Bar. But I tried to assign a song/music to it for alerts just now and it crashed twice in a row. I hate to bother Apple with those crash reports, maybe I should change my settings for those...

A window pops up on start with a beep every second saying there is a weather alert for Jacksonville, FL. But nothing else. Close the window after listening to the incessant beeping. Used the Meteor menu to select Jacksonville (one of my preset choices), saw two items; "Weather Alert" and "Weather.com Fire Weather Alert." Nothing happened when selecting either item. I'm used to a menu linking to some action. Apparently, the 'action' here is whatever shows up in the menu. At least it didn't crash! smile.gif

It can now display a satellite image of the European area when the "Radar Image" item is selected. Not quite what one would expect, but it's better than nothing, as before. dntknw.gif
