Will the "real" Darth Vader sit the heck down!

You can order a book, the auction catalog of The Vader Project that has 100 artistic interpretations or visions of the visage of the character known as Darth Vader.  I guess, in theory, that you could pick one out and bid on it at this auction. Don't know if it's an internet type auction or a live and in your face one!

I will admit that the 6 shown on the order page ( http://thevaderproject.com/order.php ) do kind of pique my interest but not quite $40 worth right now.

If you find some of these images of good ole Darth to be strange or vexing than maybe you can find reassurance in this article at the British Psychological Society Journal:
QUOTE
In a brazen act of arm-chair diagnosis, Eric Bui and colleagues at Toulouse University Hospital in France have written a short academic article arguing that the Star Wars character Darth Vader probably meets the diagnostic criteria for borderline personality disorder (BPD). The authors point to Anakin Skywalker's (as he was originally known) life history, including fatherly absence, early maternal separation and infantile illusions of omnipotence. They go on to claim that Skywalker meets six of the formal nine DSM (diagnostic and statistical manual) criteria for BPD. . . .

Some "food for thought" there; but perhaps the force really is with him!

While I have heard of great results from personalized, one-on-one, discussion type therapies, I'm not sure I'm ready to accept much of Psychology as a "Science." Scientific knowledge usually grows with time, but it should also be validated by new studies and experimentation. I find the enlarging of the 'book of knowledge' called Psychology too vague, unproven and basically unprovable. I don't think it's a sham, but I think most of it needs a good dose of salt before swallowing much of it.

XABD,  rolleyes.gif does this mean you're ready to drive the welcome wagon when Darth moves into your neighborhood?
