Corrupted images on a camera card
« on: October 15, 2010, 02:34:44 PM »
I just took some pictures of a big branch that came down in our yard during the storm,
And put the card into the cheapo reader, it wouldnt go in properly, so I took it out and tried it again, sort of pushed it in.
None of the images came out, there werent many thank goodness.
Then I tried another card, and I could see the images I had taken for a test on the camera. Same with the card that I though was no good.
It was OK!
So I got a magnifying glass and looked into the reader, yes, a pin was broken off, but thank god it did not end up in the card itself. So into the garbage went the reader. I have a couple more thank goodness.

Solved, its interesting how those tiny pins can break off.
And thank goodness that I had taken the same pictures with my iPhone.

This is sort of information only, but its funny how one tiny thing can corrupt stuff.
