The 40Gb WD Drive is waiting at my friend's place, he ordered it for me.

I have information how to install it here but maybe anybody has something better?
The big job will be in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Mrious_be,

MacWorld has easy to follow instructions on replacing the hard drive in iMac.
Scroll half way down the page to get the instructions on a slot loading iMac.

Kelly,
That were the ones i ended up with yes, but it seems they really pointed out to seperate "service manuals" for every single iMac model ever released.
I was thinking that i might need an account at Apple to reach those files though, not sure.

Bill,
Thankssss, that is the url that someone gave me (you?) monthsssss ago when i first asked about upgrading my iMac.
It's even more than a year i think... gosh time flies wacko.gif

Bernie,
Wooow, that looked like a very detailed "guide" so i'm sure it will be usefull.

everyone,
I saved all the url's and will send them to work to print out (no printer here anymore).
Than i'm asking the external firewire drive at work and take it with me to home, for backup... easy B)
Thanks people, i'll let you know (in about two weeks) how it worked.
